On November 26, 2011, Jeanne Boyce of Little Rock went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Shelley, Idaho on November 11, 1928 to the late Hester and Porter Foster. She attended the University of Idaho, receiving her Masters Degree in Music and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She taught music in Portland, Oregon before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas. She taught music at Southwest Junior High and Forest Heights Junior High. She spent the rest of her teaching career, of over 25 years, at the Arkansas School for the Blind where she taught music and piano to grades 1 – 12. Grades 7 – 12 made up her choir and they performed Spring and Christmas concerts every year. She was a sweet and loving mother to four children, Sherri Boyce, David Boyce and his wife, Myra, Valeri Boyce, and Vicki Boyce; two grandsons, Derek Boyce and Jake Boyce who will never forget their JeeJee; great-grandson, Mason Tyler Boyce; her brother, Glen Foster and his wife, Ann and family of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her loving cousin, Ruby Lorene Simmons and family, and her close friend and honorary daughter, Deanna Marie Engelby. She was loved and adored by all who knew her and will live in our hearts forever.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30th in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with Rev. Hugh Hale, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O.
