Jeanne Reifsnyder Wiseman, 83, of Pedro, Ohio passed away Friday (December 5, 2008) at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Russell, Ky. She was born October 3, 1925 in New York City, New York, daughter of the late John and Lillian Furlinger Reifsnyder.

She was a former school teacher and homemaker. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Ironton. She graduated from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia. She is a member of the D.A.R, Child Welfare Club, Century Club, Ladies Golf League at the Ironton Country Club and an associate member of the Ironton Cooperative Club. Here hobby was reading and as a community service provided three scholarships annually to Symmes Valley students. She also volunteered as a non-member to Lions Club functions.

In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by a sister: Lillie Reifsnyder

She is survived by her husband: Hobart Joe Wiseman whom she married December 18, 1954; three sons and three daughters-in-law: John and Judy Wiseman of Yorktown, Va., Tey and Karin Wiseman of Mesa, Arizona, Brett and Nancy Wiseman of Yorktown, Va. One daughter and son-in-law: Lael and Karl Zachry of Houston, Texas. Seven grandchildren: Jerrod, Daniel, Nicole, Anne and Taylor Wiseman; Troy and Scott Zachry.

Funeral service will be11:00 AM Tuesday (December 9, 2008) at Christ Episcopal Church 5th and Park Avenue Ironton with Rev. Robert Thomas and Rev. Sally Schisler officiating. Burial will be in Slabfork Cemetery and friends call Monday 6-9 PM at Phillips Funeral Home 1004 So. 7th Street Ironton and one hour before service on Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers will be John, Brett, Tye, Steven, Daniel and Jerrod Wiseman. Please make contributions to Christ Episcopal Church, PO Box 555, Ironton, Ohio 45638.
