Jeffie Eugene Fehr, 76, of Little Rock entered into heaven on Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was born in Watson, Arkansas on December 23, 1934 and was the son of the late Franklin and Ruby Fehr. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict stationed in Kaiserslatern, West Germany in 1953 where he met his wife of 57 years, Elisabeth Krick Fehr. Upon his discharge from the Army, he returned to Arkansas and trained and worked as a composing machinist for the Arkansas Gazette for 27 years. He was the owner and operator of a tractor trailer and hauled for Oakley Brothers in North Little Rock. Upon retirement, he had a small engine repair shop. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church in Little Rock, the American Legion and the VFW Post 9095. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Franklin and Roy Fehr and his sister, Dorothy Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Fehr; daughters Brenda Kilbury (husband- David Kilbury) and Iris Fehr: grandchildren Kaitlin Kilbury, Tim Yeldell and Ben Yeldell; his brother Charles Fehr; sisters Juanita Francis, Patty Sharp, Patricia Perrien and Betty Boyd; many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family is very thankful for all of the wonderful care he received during his illness from St. Vincent's Cardiovascular Surgical Unit and Baptist Long Term Acute Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Crystal Hill Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26 at Crystal Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Ballard, officiating. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening (Tuesday) from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St. Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
