A funeral service for Jeffrey Claude Singleton will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Park. The Reverends Chip Stevens and Clifton Curtis will officiate.

Singleton, 49, passed away Wednesday, July 7 at his residence in Starkville. He was a Machinist by trade, having owned a business on the coast and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a Boy Scout.

He was born to Claude and Dean Singleton in Gulfport on March 20, 1961. He graduated from Gulfport High School and attended Mississippi State University. His family moved to Starkville in 1979. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his two sons, Bradley and Christian Singleton; his mother, Dean Singleton; his brother, Scott Singleton and his wife Carol; nieces, Amber Shultice, Haley Nixon and Erin Singleton; and great nieces and nephew, Madison and Kamden Shultice, and Karsyn and Tate Nixon, all of Starkville.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Pushmataha Council, 420 31st Ave., Colummbus, MS 39705.
