Jeffrey Lee Givens, age 51, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Woodbury and a horse trainer. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buford and Daisy Givens and William "Doc" and Gladys Sledge; uncles, Billy Sledge and Lytle Givens; aunt, Jane Sledge; cousins, Angela Sledge Jamison and William Comer "Little Bill" Sledge. He is survived by his parents, Harold Dean and Alice Givens; wife, Debbie Robinson Givens; son, Christopher Lee Givens of Murfreesboro; daughter, Kelsey Leigh Givens of Murfreesboro; uncles, Dudley Sledge and Kenneth Givens; aunt, Sandra Givens; cousins, Cindy Sledge Pinegar; Brenda Sledge Harris; and Cherry Sledge Nolan .

Chapel service will be Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Darrell Whaley, Jack Heffington speaker and Rev. Bobby Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Gower, Rob Brainard, Newton Parks, Ray Gilmer, Dewayne Cawthorn, Chuck Witherspoon, Vance Warren and Keith Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Price, Sylvester Skierkowski, Charlie Nichols, Jack Heffington, Bruce Todd, Bud Seaton, Joe Cotton, Daryl Knox, Tim Taylor, Billy Morgan, David Mason, and Buddy Black.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, 2013, 3:00-9:00 PM at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130; 615-893-2422. Please leave condolences at www.jenningsandayers.com.
