Jeffrey M. Smith, 46, of Chippewa Falls, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls surrounded by his family. You're at peace now little brother.

He was born July 30, 1965 in Chippewa Falls to Leslie Smith and Leona Lang

Jeff's loves were many, with his family at the forefront. He loved his wife, kids and grandchildren. He liked hunting, riding a four wheeler and spending time on the farm. He enjoyed cookouts, bonfires, playing and watching football. Other passions were cooking and feeding the birds. Jeff was a kind, gentle, caring soul who touched those who knew him. He will be sadly missed by all but his spirit will live on in all of us.

Jeffrey is survived by: his wife, Michelle and their children, Kayla Smith, Christina (Carlos Avila) Smith and Jeffrey Smith Jr. all of Chippewa Falls; 5 grandchildren; mother, Leona Smith, Chippewa Falls; siblings, Sue (Arthur) Elison, Bloomer, Linda (Mike) Everson, Elk Mound, Debra (Hank) Chock, Jim Falls, Randy (Sara) Smith, Chippewa Falls and Richard Smith, Chippewa Falls, Michelle (Randy) Steinmetz, Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his father, infant grandson, Juan-Carlos Avila, sister, Christine and brother, Michael.

Jeff's wishes were to have a private service.

Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
