Dear Debbie, I loved Jeff very much. I love you too! He remained a best friend from the day we first met, which is about 36 years or more. I don't know anything about working on cars. He said, "to hand me tools"! I cracked up. One of my favorite memories about yall is the first Easter Heather was born. You had her in a fancy white dress and shoes and it was warm out that year and we were standing out in the driveway before you came in for a visit. That really meant alot to me and I will never forget it. I will never forget Jeff and the impact he had on my life. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful person to call friend. Dear Debbie and Heather; Aunt Sarah and Uncle Alton, I can not express my sorrow over Jeff's passing. He was always the big brother I never had. We got in more trouble when we were little. He would do something and I would tattle and then I would get in trouble for tattling. :) We were always into something, mostly he came up with it and I followed. I am so glad that the last time I was home I got to go and see him. It was like we were both still kids. I kept expecting Lady to come around the corner and I could have said, "Run Jeff Run", and laughed my head off at him. Instead he showed me the house and yard and the neat fish pond he had built. Nanny and Papa would have loved it. Jeff was so proud of what he had done. I would love to have seen his face when Nanny and Papa (and Lady with her teeth showing) were there waiting on him. I love you all and it was hard not being able to come for the service.
