JJeffrey Stephen Weesner, 49, passed away on January 23, 2012 in Stockton. While born in Castro Valley, Jeff lived his entire life in Stockton graduating from St. Mary's High School and San Joaquin Delta College. Jeff was a fifth generation Stocktonian from a pioneer family who came to Stockton at the time of Captain Weber. Jeff was a highly competitive and exceptionally talented athlete who excelled in multiple sports. He began playing hockey for the Stockton Colts at the age of 10 and played long into adulthood. He was the catcher for St. Mary's and Delta's baseball teams in the 1980s, and he was an avid golfer, who competed for many years and was a member of Swenson Park's Men's Club and Elkhorn Country Club. His handicap for much of his life was an 8.
He is survived by his loving parents Stephen and Andrea Weesner and was predeceased by his grandparents Andy and Pome Bisagno and Ted and Hazel Weesner.
Jeff was a deeply loyal and generous friend and will be best remembered for his kind and fun-loving nature. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to St. Mary's High School Athletic Department, P.O. Box 7247, Stockton, CA 95267.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday January 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Presentation, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Dr., Stockton, CA
There will be visitation at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St, Stockton, CA on Saturday January 28, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
