Jennie Mae (Hartwig) Green, 89, was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Fort Wayne. Born in Briceton, OH, she worked as a waitress with Norton's and Dick's Diner but most of her life was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Turners, active in the PTA and a Cub Scout Leader who enjoyed arts, crafts and ceramics. Jennie Mae enjoyed life very much, her family and grandchildren were a very important part of her life. She was greatly loved by her family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Neil "Skip" Green of Fort Wayne; son, John Green of Fort Wayne; daughters, Georgianna (Weldon) Adkins of Haviland, OH, Sandra (Meyer) Biller-Wright of East Haven, CT, Paulette (Gene) Smith of Fort Wayne, Judy (Robert) Chinn of Anaheim, CA, Vickie (Jerry) Ruiz of Riverside CA, Pamela Porter of Warsaw, and Cindy (Sam) Leto of Fort Wayne, step-daughter, Linda Jean Boyd of Sauk Village, IL and very dear friend Shirley (Gary) Myers of Fort Wayne, 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Jennie was preceded in death by her daughters, Carolyn Patterson, Sharon Scoles, and Lela Ruby. Service is 10:00 am Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Calling Sunday 2-5 & 6-8 at the funeral home with calling 1 hour prior to the sevice.
