PREHODA, Jennie – of Clio, formerly Flint, age 93, died July 5, 2012 at Gross Assisted Living in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Sr. Mary Ann McCarron officiating. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM. Sr. Paula Gero officiating. Contributions may be made to McLaren visiting nurses.

Jennie was born September 13, 1918 in Flint to the late Vincent and Katheryn (Ropacz) Kowalcyk. She married John Prehoda on September 27, 1941, he preceded her on April 9, 1982. Jennie was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time up north in her cottage in Oscoda.

Surviving are: Children, Mary Katherine (Michael) Spleet of Clio, John Prehoda of Hubbard Lake, Douglas (Tanya) Prehoda of Grand Blanc, Michael (Nancy) Prehoda of TN, Christine (Jerald) Fitch of Flushing; 11 Grandchildren, Michael, Cammie, Regina, Trisha, Scott, Michelle, Nicole, Michael, Natalie, Jenna, Jarred; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Ben Kowalcyk of Flint; and many other family. She was preceded in death by: Brother, Alex Kowalcyk; Grandson, John Prehoda; Sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Kowalcyk.
