Mrs. Jenny L. (Ridgely) Kauffman, 66, of 9233 Gap Road, Waynesboro, died at 2:05 P.M., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg. She had been critically ill for the past two weeks. Born November 27, 1945 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Pentz) Ridgely. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. She and her husband, the late Mark D. "Buddy" Kauffman, were married on January 13, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to their Gap Road address in 1974. Mr. Kauffman died on November 12, 1998. Mrs. Kauffman worked for Knouse Foods in Orrtanna, PA, the Waynesboro Hospital, and McDonald's in Waynesboro. She was a member of Blue Rock Church, Waynesboro and the Mont Alto Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Kauffman enjoyed game shows, Little House on the Prairie, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Naomi M. Bumbaugh and her companion Randall Christopher, Donna L. Hartman and her husband John, and Donald M. Kauffman and his wife Melissa, all of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Ridgely of Florida. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 30, 2012, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Charles W. Bowman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday evening, in the funeral home.
