Jerleatha Shaw was born on March 29, 1939 in Lake City, South Carolina to the late Melvin and Estelle Shaw. Jerleatha moved to Paterson, NJ in 1960 and worked for many years at Douglas Plastic. Jerleatha was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters. On Wednesday, December 21, 2011, Jerleatha lost a long time battle she fought with Parkinson's disease at the age of seventy-two. She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved daughter, Amy Shaw of Paterson, NJ; five grandchildren; one sister, Hessie Bellshaw McKenzie of Georgia; one brother-in-law; John McKenzie of Georgia, one special nephew and niece, Moses Singletary and Marsha McKenzie Wheller, other relatives and friends.
