Jerry D Kendall, 70, passed away May 22, 2009 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
He was born July 8, 1938 in Fowlerton, IN, and resided in Anderson. He has lived in the area for most of his life.
He served his country in the United States Army.
Jerry was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He retired in 2000 as a C.A.T.S. bus driver.
He is survived by his spouse Rebecca (Glover) Kendall. Three sons, Jerry Kendall of Anderson , Richard Dean Kendall of Muncie, and Joseph Kendall of Anderson. A daughter, Elisha (Scott) Zimmerman of Somerset, PA. Two brothers and a sister, Gerald Schildtknect of Anderson, William (Pam) Kendall of Lapel, and Betty (Garvin) Mitchell of St. Cloud, FL. Five grandchildren, Devin Kendall, Dennis Kendall, Kaylynn Kendall, Avery Zimmerman, and Addison Zimmerman. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy (Ford) Kendall. A son, Eric Kendall. A sister and two brothers, JoAnn Matthews, Carl Schildtknect, and Richard Dean Kendall.
There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
