Jerry L. Hinson was born March 8, 1959 in Lancaster, SC to the late Rister and Sue Lee Blackmon Hinson. Jerry was educated in the Paterson School District. He served in the United States Navy in 1976-1984 and was honorably discharged. Furthering his education he attended Lyons Institute and Wayne Tech graduating as a Licensed Certified Electrician and CEO of his company. He also attended PCC for two years for Electrical Engineer. He accepted the Lord in 1984, under the leadership of Pastor Hall First Seventh Day Adventist in the City of Paterson. He was an honorary deacon for ten years. Jerry was an excellent electrician, very kind, very compassionate, always express the importance of family. He was a very loving and excellent husband and father. He was loved by many, a joy to his family, amazing spirit, great uncle, brother and son-in-law. He met and married the love of his life Annie M. McGhie of twentyone years. From this union two lovely daughters were born, Ashley Marie and Jamie Taylor. Prior to his marriage two children were born, Jerry, Jr. and Jessica Barnes of South Jersey. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. He departed this life on November 23, 2011 at the St. Joseph Medical Center after a brief illness. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Annie; children, Jerry, Jr., Jessica, Ashley and Jamie; five brothers, Rev. Edward (Clara) Nauet of NY, Rev. Crawford (Peggy) of Jamaica, NY, Rev. Thomas (Darlene) Haledon of NJ, Dennis of Paterson, NJ and Perry (Lorraine) of Seattle, Washington; four sisters, Dessie Barnes of Irvington, NJ, Linda (Ralph) Richmond, VA, Denise Hinson of Paterson, NJ and Patricia Hinson of Richmond, VA; mother-in-law, Mae McGhie; nine sisters-in-law, eleven brothers-in-law; one loving aunt, Ruth Houston, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
