Jerry Toffelmire, 59, of New Buffalo, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Paul Koehneke officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Jerry was born September 14, 1952 in St. Joseph, MI to Robert & Anna (Woodrick) Toffelmire. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1970. Jerry worked as a self-employed truck driver. On June 11, 1983 he married Shelley Ives in St. Joseph. In his spare time he enjoyed motor sports and was an avid University of Michigan Fan. Jerry also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife Shelley Toffelmire of New Buffalo; three sons Kenny Toffelmire of Chicago, IL, DJ Toffelmire of New Buffalo, MI, and Jarod Toffelmire of Paw Paw, MI; two grandchildren Cody and Elizabeth; brother Randy Toffelmire of Michigan City, IN. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Robert and Richard and two sisters Sandy and Nancy.
