Jesse Cole, 67, a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Born on March 2, 1943 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Harry and Violet Shoemaker Cole. Jess was a vehicle technician and had operated the former Cole's Service for over 29 years. Recently he was employed by UNICCO, Belvidere, NJ. Jess was a 1961 graduate of Belvidere High School. He was an active member of the Belvidere Lions Club and had served as president in the 1970s. Jess was also a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church. Jesse was an avid boater for over 26 years and had enjoyed boating on Lake George and at the Jersey Shore. He and his wife, the former Susan Frankenfield had celebrated their 44th anniversary in August 2010. They enjoy and love their poodles, Cookie and Alfie, a rescue they adopted when he was 4 months old. Jess had loved all six of their poodles over their years of marriage. Surviving in addition to his wife Susan are a sister, Bonnie Steele and her husband Kenneth; three nephews; one niece. In conforming to his love of animals and his battle with asthma/COPD, the family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made in his memory to Waggin' Tails, P.O.
