Jimmie Lee Robertson, 85, of Vimy Ridge, Arkansas died January 26th, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He joined the Navy at age 16 after Pearl Harbor. He received a purple heart and numerous other medals.
Survivors are his wife Elizabeth J. Robertson; daughter Cynthia Kinsey; son David Robertson; daughter Carol Fowler; grandchildren John Kinsey, Sean Kinsey, Sarah Robertson and Robert Modar.
Funeral services will be at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30 with burial to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Reverend Tom Williams of Indian Springs Baptist Church will officiate. Pallbearers are John Kinsey, Sean Kinsey, Robert Modar, Gary Hobby, James Thurston and Scott Price.
