The family requests that you join them for refreshments at a Celebration of Life gathering immediately following the service at: Joppa Magnolia Fire Co, 1403 Old Mountain Road, South Joppa, MD. 21085 Jimmy Gene Kegley, age 73, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on July 6, 2012 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Kimball, WV, he was the son of the late William David and Anna Lee Wheelock Kegley. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he retired, after 21 years, as a Maryland State Trooper and from Martin Marietta after working 8 years in security. He enjoyed watching football and playing tennis. Mr. Kegley is survived by his wife of 25 years, Constance A. Kegley of Edgewood, MD; son, William M. Kegley of Churchville, MD; daughter, Vickie L. Ellis of Essex, MD; stepsons, Randy G. Zellman of White Marsh, MD, Richard E. Zellman of Owings, MD and Rodney S. Zellman of Grand Haven, MI; brother, Roger L. Kegley of Abingdon, MD; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lori A. Leeper and his brother, Ronald D. Kegley. Those who desire may make a donation to the Maryland State Troopers Association, 1300 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208.
