Jimmy Wayne Kovar December 28, 1936 ~ January 19, 2012 Memorial services for Jimmy Wayne Kovar, 75, of Cooks Point, are set for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Rev. Lawrence Smith officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. Mr. Kovar passed away January 19, 2012 at his home. Jimmy was born December 28, 1936, to Johnny Joe Kovar and Mildred Charlene (Reese) Kovar in Fayetteville, Texas. Jimmy was a graduate of the University of Texas. He was a member of the Elizabeth Lutheran Church and former owner of DK's Quickstop here in Caldwell. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jimmy is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Anne Elise & Steve Dollery of Cooks Point, Jennifer & Shawn Dollery of Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny "Butch" & Karen Kovar of Bay City, Texas; sister, Jo Ann De Lorca of Sugarland; grandchildren, Shawn Dollery, Kody Dollery, Lindie Dollery, Cole Dollery; and three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family requests memorials be made to the Burleson County Saddle Club, PO Box 577, Caldwell, Texas 77836.
