NEW HARTFORD - LIDINGTON – JoAnne C. Donovan Lidington, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2012 with her family by her side. She was the wife of "Butch" Lidington and the late William Donovan. Born May 4, 1939 in Torrington; the daughter of the late Richard L. Calder, II and Gladys (Sekulski) and Harry Clark. JoAnne was a lifelong resident of New Hartford working for the United States Post Office for over 30 years in New Hartford. She loved going to the Casino and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughters, Pam DeMichiel and husband David of Torrington, Diane Dougal and husband Jerry of Torrington, Nancy Lewis of Canton and Kelly Sayles of Torrington; many step-children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three siblings, Gail Olsen of Torrington, Harry Clark, Jr., of CA and Julie Schultz of Torrington; a sister-in-law, "Mo" Calder of New Hartford; 2 step-sisters; a special friend, Geri Pasko of New Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dog, Molly. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Calder III; a special aunt, Christine Calder; and many aunts and uncles. Friends may call on Thursday, February 9th at the funeral home in New Hartford from 4 - 7 PM. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Pleasant Valley in the spring.
