Mrs. Joan Elizabeth Clark Fabio

ARLINGTON -- Joan Elizabeth Clark Fabio, 55, passed away at her home Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.

Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5500 Mansfield Road, Arlington. Please send floral tributes to the church for the memorial service.

Joan grew up in Miami, Fla., daughter of Jack and Edith Clark. She married Doug Fabio in 1979 and followed his health administration career to Texas, where they had three children, Jim, Pamela and Daniel. Joan worked throughout her life for others; she was active with her church, for example, played in the bell choir for several years, and served as an adult chaperone on many occasions on regional youth trips and local activities. She worked with special needs children who had learning difficulties and volunteered and worked at an assisted living center for many years.

Survivors: Joan will be forever missed by her children, loving husband and three faithful dogs. Her kind heart and sweet disposition will be missed by many friends she had throughout her life.
