Joan J. Tedrowe 92, longtime Albuquerque resident, was welcomed into the safe arms of Jesus on January 15, 2012. She is survived by cousins, Elaine Olson of Santa Fe; Chet Mitchell of Taos; Dean Justice of Austin, TX and Judy Gilchrist of Tulsa, OK and their children; life-long family friends, Barbara Quinn of Carmel Valley, CA, Lynda Mertes of Los Lunas, and Cheryl McEwen of Gallup and their children. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, beloved son, Richard (Ted), and two brothers, Donald and Robert Justice. Joan was born in Roy, NM to Clair and Ollie Justice. When she was young her family moved to Tucumcari, NM where she graduated high school. After graduating she attended court reporting school. She married Charles W. Tedrowe, of Woodward, OK, in 1941. She and Charles moved to Albuquerque where she worked for Dr. Jack Redmond for over 30 years. Joan was a past member of Temple Baptist Church in Albuquerque and a long time member of P.E.O. Chapter X. Friends are welcome to visit French - University Chapel, on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A private burial will be held on Thursday morning at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. also at French - University Chapel.
