Joan L Grate, 75, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at in Fort Wayne. Born in Bluffton, IN, Joan worked as a Office Manager with Roehm Radio and Sound for several years, retiring in 1999. Joan volunteered and was very active in various church activities. She enjoyed reading, making arts and crafts, traveling to see her family, and loved being a grandma. Surviving are her son, Wayne E. Coulson of Jefferson, WI, daughter, Theresa (Johnathen) Mitchell of Nampa, ID, sister, Evelyn J. Runyon of Bluffton, IN, 5 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by parents, Harold D. and Wilmetta Marie Messick, husband, Stanley Grate, and son Darrel L. Coulson. Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, January 3, 2011 at Hope United Methodist Church, 9914 Hoagland Road, Hoagland, IN. with calling from 10 AM till the time of the service with Rev.
