Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. It is with great sadness that the family of JoAnn Curry Bayhi announces her passing after a brief battle with cancer, on July 14, 2011 at the age of 69 years. Born and raised in Gretna, LA and a lifelong resident of Denham Springs, LA. JoAnn retired after working for 26 years as the Office Manager for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. JoAnn will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 50 years Warren Bayhi, Sr., and their children Denise Bayhi Spillman and husband Louis of Denham Springs, Shelley Bayhi Mack and husband Timmy of Walker, Christene Bayhi Hood and husband David "Bo" of Denham Springs, and Warren "Bubba" Bayhi, Jr, and wife Laura of Denham Springs. She will also be fondly remembered by her eleven grandchildren Russchelle McLin Overhultz and husband Jacob, Michael McLin, Courtney Hood Dillon and husband Joseph, Meagan Bayhi, Katie Mack, Hunter Hood, Makenzie Bayhi, Trevon Spillman, Devon Spillman Braud and husband Derek, Treston Spillman and Blaise Spillman, her five great-grandchildren Mikayla Dillon, Jackson Overhultz, Aidan Spillman, Brannt Braud and Mikaela Spillman and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Annie Lee Curry, sisters Sallie Marie Fernandez and Rosa Lynn Daughdrill. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Baton Rouge Hospice for their loving care. Pallbearers will be Warren "Bubba" Bayhi, Jr., Michael McLin, David "Bo" Hood, Timmy Mack, Louis Spillman, and Tim Fernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Hood, Roy Bayhi, Sr., Dyle Daughdrill, Mike Fernandez, Jacob Overhultz, Joseph Dillon and Russell McLin.
