GARCIA, JOE LESTER
Joe Lester Garcia, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on November 2, 2011. "The world has lost a great man but yet the heavens have gained another one. His impact on those who knew him will not be forgotten." He is survived by his wife, Josephine Garcia, daughter, Patricia Annabell Myers; son, Robert Patrick Garcia; daughter, Virginia Coffman and her husband, John Coffman; four grandchildren, Vanessa Sprunk, Sophia Beardsley, Olivia Garcia, and Lester Bottoms; two step-grandchildren: Casey Coffman and Kimberly Jones; and three great-grandchildren: Natasha and Joseph (J.T.) Sprunk and Avalon Beardsley. His son, Henry David Garcia preceded him in death. Lester was a long time member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1989 after thirty-seven years of service. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at French ~ Lomas Chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona Street S.E.
