Joe Valdez

Joe Valdez was born on May 19, 1940 in Dagupan City in the Philippines to Francisco & Vanancia Valdez where he was raised with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Growing up he was altar boy, a valedictorian in high school and in college he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He met Aleli Bernardo whom he married in 1965. Joe fathered 2 sons and a daughter and moved his family to the United States in 1968. Once in the States, he worked as a computer operator in several banking institutions.

Joe's plan was to retire in May of 2011 and move back to the Philippines with his wife and enjoy their life together. Unfortunately, in February he was diagnosed with leukemia and his plans had to wait. He was fortunate enough to make it into remission, but in the end, GOD must have had a need for one as smart and funny as Joe and took him home.

He leaves behind his loving wife Aleli Valdez of 47 years, sons (Noel & Nelson Valdez), daughter (Mary Jane Muribus), son-in-law (Fred Muribus), granddaughters (Natasha & Naomi Muribus), sisters (Virginia, Josefa, Alice), nieces & nephews, many godchildren and loving friends.
