Joel McCarthur Ford, 39, of Milan, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Sunny View Nursing Home in Trenton, Missouri.

Joel was born April 13, 1973 in Kirksville, Missouri to Tina (Andrews) and Bill Ford. He grew up in Hayward, WI And Milan, he also attended school in both towns.

Joel has been employed at ConAgra and Premier Foods until closing. On April 17, 1999, he married Zella Breeding, and she survives. Also surviving are their three children; Matthew McCarthur (11), Joel Christofer (9), and Vera Kay (7), whom he loved dearly. Joel is survived by his dad, Bill Ford of Browning; two sisters, Kayla Ford, of Browning and Amy Mason of Independence, Missouri. Four brothers, Tristan Campbell of Roseville, Minnesota, Colin Campbell of Hayward, WI, Joseph Martin of Moberly, Missouri, and Lanis McAlphin of Browning, MO; step dad, Gene Campbell of Hayward, WI and mother-in-law Sharon Phillips of Milan; also an Aunt, Lisa Breuitt of Garden Grove, Iowa, three uncles, Scott Breuitt of Garden Grove, Pete Ford and Jeff Riddle, both of Milan, MO, three nieces, four nephews. Several cousins, including Lynsey Wyant and Kelsey Riddle who were like sisters to Joel, four special friends, Howard Johnson of Hayward, WI, Bill Campbell of Evansville, IN, Chuck Fordyce of Milan, and Pete Justice of Green Castle.

Joel was preceded in death by his mom, Tina Campbell, grandmothers Beverly Hewitt and Maxine Ford, Aunt Sherri Riddle; great-grandmother Vera Brammer, and grandfather, Guy Ford.

Joel enjoyed shooting archery, which he at one time was very good at, deer and turkey hunting, and Bass fishing, which he was a member of the Chillicothe Bass Club and Brookfield Puddle Jumpers. Joel was popular at one time with archery shooting and fishing bass tournaments. Joel made many friends along the way.

A memorial graveside by the family was held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
