Miss Joetta Pearl McDowell

Joetta Pearl McDowell, 60, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away July 31, 2011. Joetta was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. She liked the company of her friends and great nieces and nephews. She brought them lollipops and treats, she was very sweet person to know. Joetta loved pets and puppies and always kept small dogs of her own. She was a caring person and cared for her mother, before her mother died. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar McDowell in 1993; her mother, Rose Mary McDowell in 2009; and a sister, Helen Skillman in 2010. Survivors include her brothers and sister: Jacob (Leann) McDowell and Francis McDowell, both of Liberty, Missouri; Pat McDowell (& fiancée Rebeka) of Springfield, Missouri; and Edgar (Linda) McDowell, Jr. of Linneus, Missouri; and Rosemary (John) Rawls of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church or to the American Diabetes Association.
