John Becker Kelly of Chatham died suddenly on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the age of 45. Born in Point Pleasant, John was raised in Summit and graduated from The Pingry School in 1983. He attended Muhlenberg College and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1989. After college he resided in the Boston area and later moved back to NJ, married in 1996 and moved to Chatham in 1998. John is survived by his wife Sally (Walker); children Robert Walker Kelly, William Crawley Kelly and Helena Becker Kelly; mother Marie (Becker) & her husband Bryan Robertson of Basking Ridge; sisters, Dr. Irene Kelly of Oakland, CA, and Mary Frances and her husband Yasin Faraji of Basking Ridge. John was predeceased by his father, Robert Alan Kelly. John was a Senior Business Consultant with SimCorp in NYC. Previously he worked for twelve years with CheckFree Investment Services. John's enthusiasm for people was contagious, as evident by his love for his children and family. He even made it a point to get to know his neighbors and kept in close touch with all of his friends. He was an avid sports fan, coaching soccer and baseball with his children. He excelled at baseball and was an All-Star punter while at Pingry. John was also an avid devotee of a wide variety of music styles and had a passion for discovering new musicians. Friends may call to the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham on Saturday October 16 from 6-9pm and Sunday from 11-1pm& 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent DePaul, Bebout Ave. Stirling, NJ on Monday October 18 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to John B.
