John C. Platt, Sr. was born on January 8, 1932 and entered into heaven January 10, 2012, age 80. He worked for SUSD for 34 years at Edison High School. John lived most of his life in Stockton and served his country in the United States Navy, he also coached for the Western Little League for the past 10 years. John is survived by his loving wife, Isabel and his sons, Robert Perez (Gloria), Rudy Perez, John Platt, Jr. (Aurora), Larry Platt (Roxanne), 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Jose Richard Perez and his granddaughter Laura Platt.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at DeYoung Memorial Chapel 601 N. California St., Stockton from Noon to 5 P.M. Funeral Services will take place on January 17, 2012 at 11 AM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.
Burial to follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
