Born April 12, 1914 and died January 3, 2012. John was born to Ruby Moore Rowland and John Ernest Rowland. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lillian Harper Rowland; sisters Cassie Willis, Jewel Calhoun, Lorene McClendon, Berniece Hutson; brothers, Charles and Lynwood Rowland. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. John served in the Navy during WWII. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2012, Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment 12:45 pm Monday, January 9, 2012 at the DFW National Cemetery.
