JOHN E. MUCHA, Sr., 89, of Garfield died Thursday. Born in Garfield, NJ, Mr. Mucha was a lifelong resident. He retired from Singer Kearfott Corp. of Woodland Park where he was employed for 35 years. Mr. Mucha was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church, Passaic. He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. Mr. Mucha was a Ham Radio Operator with the call letters of W2MRN. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Olga Gabor in 2007; and by his three sisters, Mary Plavchan and his twin sisters, Anna and Helen Mucha. Survivors include: his son, John E. Mucha, Jr. and his wife, Antoinette of Mahwah; his daughter, Joan ten Hoeve and her husband, Peter of Elmwood Park; his two brothers, Michael and Edward Mucha, both of Garfield; and his two grandchildren, Ashley and Max Mucha. Funeral Services will be 9:15 am Monday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton and 10:00 am at St. Mary's RC Church, cor. 181 Market St. @ Monroe St., Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, So. Hackensack. Visitation on Sunday from 2-6 pm. Visit www.bizub.com for driving directions/ online condolences.
