John F. Hlobik, 84, of Willington, CT, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 suddenly at his home. John was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Joseph and Verna (Sorokey) Hlobik. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy, and retired as a crew leader from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation. He was also a member of St. Jude Parish. John is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elsie (Agostini) Hlobik; two sons, Thomas Hlobik and his wife Misako, and Robert Hlobik; four daughters, Linda LaFlamme and her husband Tim, Dianne Roy and her husband Noah, Kathleen Hlobik, and Donna Adams; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 9-11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Jude Church, Old Farms Rd., Willington, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America Troop 82, c/o Tara Bergeron Youth, Family and Social Services, 40 Old Farms Rd., Willington, CT 06279, or to Willington Fire Department No. 1, P.O.
