John G. Salvo- 88, Of Belmont passed away on December 4, 2008 at the Emerson Village Nursing Home in Watertown. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary N. (Luongo) Salvo.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 25, 1920, John was the son of the late Rosario and Frances (Bonanno) Salvo. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, and was later employed as a manager for Bonanno Rental Systems.

Mr. Salvo is survived by his sons: Michael J. Salvo of Lincolnville, Maine, and John R. Salvo of Maynard, Massachusetts. He was the brother of Josephine R. Montgomery. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Evan, Maia, Matthew and Renee Salvo.
