John H. Maynard 94, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

John was born on February 26, 1917, in Pentwater, MI to Wade and Cora (Hughson) Maynard. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a wheelman for a car ferry in Ludington. MI. On March 30, 1946 in Pentwater, MI, he married Marion V. Reed, who preceded him in death.

John is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Kramer, Beverly (Michael) Van Tieghem, Louise (Richard) Fortson, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, one sister, and a grandson.
