John J. Witkowsky 95, of Branford beloved husband of Doris Montelius Witkowsky passed away on July 18, 2013 at his home. Loving father of Nancy Petrowski of Branford and the late Robert Witkowsky. Grandfather of Todd Petrowski of East Haven and the late Kerry Petrowski. Brother of the late Stasia Pudlis, Anna Chmielecki, Eleanor Maineri and Peter and Charles Witkowsky. John was born in Branford on July 12, 1918 son of the late Alexander and Anastasia Witkowsky. Prior to his retirement John was a Cost Analyst for U.S. Steel. He also was an Army veteran of WWII and was a long term member of the Wallingford Country Club and Owenego Beach Club and St. Mary's Church. Arrangements in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A Service will take place at a later date.
