Dr. John Joseph Mason III

John and I were married from 1990 to to 2000. We lived in North East Ohio for 4 years while he completed his PhD at Bowling Green State University. Then we moved to Canton, Ohio and he taught at Kent State University for 4+ years before we divorced and he moved to Iowa, in 2000.

John was very dedicated to his field of criminal justice, having worked in a prison before he started his Master's program at Indiana University. John

John was very dedicated to his field of criminal justice, having worked in a prison before he started his Master's program at Indiana University. John was an extremely intelligent man and a voracious reader. His hobby was gun collecting and selling, and old cannons which he regularly shot off at football games at Upper Iowa University where he last taught.

John's absence will be a loss to many people. May he rest in peace.
