Kubik, John
90, of Orlando went to be with the Lord 11-11-11, surrounded by his loving children at Hospice House of the Comforter. John was born March 23, 1921 in Chicago, IL. He served in the US Army until the death of his father in 1944 when he returned home to care for the family farm. He moved to Orlando from Muskegon, MI in 1958 to work for Martin Marietta where he retired after 27 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn of 43 years who passed in 1995. John is survived by his children. Sons, Alan Kubik (Terri) of Orlando, FL, Brian Kubik (Kelly) of Gotha, FL, daughter, Susan Taylor (Robert) of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL. Sisters, Ann Heethuis (Bern), Helen Knutson and Alice Sawchuk. Six grandchildren, Rebekah, Derek, Kyle, Katie, Zachary and Alyssa. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16th at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2500 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at Orlando Baptist Church, 500 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando, FL on Sunday, November 20th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's memory to Hospice of the Comforter, 496 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 or to Orlando Baptist Church.
