John M. Curran of Belmont June 21, 2012. Beloved husband of Kitty Curran (Ryan) of 52 years. Loving father of Sean Curran of New York, Patricia Loomis and her husband Fred of Winthrop, Deirdre Tobin and her husband Sean of Sudbury and Maura Lally and her husband Sean of Belmont. Cherished Papa of Brendan and Catherine Loomis, Ryan, Fiona and Catrina Tobin and Ciara and Keelin Lally. Brother of Donal Curran, Eileen Murphy and Marion O'Riordan all of Crosshaven, County Cork, Ireland and the late Mary Curran and Christopher O'Brien. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was the host of the "Sound of Erin Irish Radio Program" for 40 years. Former owner of Round Tower Travel. A founding member of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Erin and former account executive of Morris Alper and Sons. Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road Belmont on Tuesday June 26 at 8:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at St Josephs Church 128 Common Street Belmont at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment private.
