Mr. John Michael Miller 49 of Pisgah Road went home to be with his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ on October 11, 2007. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island on January 17, 1958. He was the son of Billy Ray Miller of Walkertown, NC and the late Noreen Smith. John attended Athens High School and was a US Army Veteran. Afterwards, he was owner/operator of Wade and Miller Heating and cooling until 1992. He then went on to pursue other interests until he was disabled. He was of the Baptist faith and put all of his trust and love in the Lord. He was a wonderful man and a friend to anyone who knew him. He got the most joy out of making people laugh and spending time with family and close friends. John loved music and was the bass player for ¯Crossroads¯ of Princeton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Noreen ¯Pat¯ Smith Miller Cox. Survivors In addition to his father Daughter Jennifer Miller Hagerman and husband Mike of Princeton Son Joseph Michael Miller of Princeton Brother Bill Ray Miller, Jr. and wife Lois of Princeton Sister Logan Miller and husband Michael of Ft. Lewis, Washington Grandchildren Michael Monroe Hagerman of Princeton Nikolas Gerard Miller of Mt. Morris, MI Nieces and Nephews Alex Miller and A.J. Miller both of Lerona Kasey Miller, Dylan Miller and Aden Miller all of Ft. Lewis Washington Close friend and companion Teresa Calhoun of Lincoln, CA Former wife and best friend of 25 years Brenda Wade Mother in law and close friend Nita Wade Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 7:00 PM from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Elder Keith Mills officiating. In honoring John¯s wishes his body will be cremated. Friends may call today from 5 p.m. until time of services at the Funeral home.
