John Mickalowski, 89, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Bergen Regional Medical Center, Paramus, NJ. Born on January 3, 1922 in Oxford, NJ, he was the son of the late Peter and Cecilia Hammer Mickalowski. John was a mechanic at Celanese, Xcel, and Georgia Pacific. He was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School. John had served his country proudly as a Marine during WWII. John was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. John was predeceased in death by an infant daughter, Rose Mickalowski; five brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eleanor Rodenbaugh Mickalowski; two daughters, Lana Mickalowski of Belvidere, NJ and Marie Miller and her husband Paul of Newton, NC; three grandchildren, Keith Miller and his wife Michelle, Carla Miller Laws and her husband Marty, Kurt Miller and four great-grandchildren all of North Carolina; a sister, Cecilia Radascawietz of Great Meadows, NJ; a brother-in-law, Clinton Lusk of Oxford, NJ; many nephews and nieces.
