OPUDA, John, 86, on Monday, February 20, 2012 of Woodland Park. Beloved husband of the late Olga (nee Miseyko). Devoted father of John, Jr. and his wife Lynn, Andrea Opuda and the late Andrew. Dear brother of Steven Opuda and Mary Schack. Loving grandfather of John Andrew. Born in Garfield, he lived in Woodland Park since 1956. Before retiring, John was a General Building Contractor of custom build homes. He was a parishioner of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, Garfield. John was a Past President and member of the church committee for more than 60 years and sang in the church choir. John was also a NJ Past District Governor of the Federated Russian Orthodox Clubs and a member of the Garfield "R" Club. He served in the US Navy during WWII. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Dr., 1st fl., Bloomfield, NJ 07003 would be appreciated.
