Julian, John, 45, of Clearwater passed away peacefully at home after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born in Camp Hill, PA, but raised in Clearwater. He graduated from Countryside High School in 1984 and University of Florida in 1989 with a Master's Degree. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta.
He touched the lives of thousands throughout his 21 year teaching and coaching career in Pinellas County. He retired from Countryside High School where he was a well-loved teacher and JV football coach.
John loved all sports, his players, co-workers, friends, and family. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tanya, and two daughters, Madeline and Melinda. He was one of the "good guys" who will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater. A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14th at 10 AM at Light of Christ Church, 2176 Marilyn St. Clearwater. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home (727)796-1992 SylvanAbbey.com
