John Polimou- Of Cambridge passed away on February 26, 2009 at home at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of AnneMarie “Nancy” (Boyle) Polimou.

Born in Boston on March 23, 1923, he was the son of the late Aristides and Catherine (Makris) Polimou. He worked for many years as a Mail Supervisor for John Hancock.

John was the devoted father of Robert Polimou & his wife Colette, Stephen, John and Joanne Polimou. Brother of Ellea Polimou. Loving grandfather of Nicholas, Matthew & Elizabeth Polimou.

Funeral from the STANTON FUNERAL HOME, 786 Mt. Auburn St., (Rt. 16) Watertown on Saturday at 11 A.M. Funeral service in the Greek Orthodox Church Taxiarchae, 25 Bigelow Ave.,, Watertown at 12 noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. Veteran of the USAF.
