JOHN SYDENSTRICKER

John Sydenstricker, 93, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011.
Born November 21, 1917 at Maplewood to the late Leonard and Myrtle Decker Sydenstricker.
John worked for Alloy Metals as a Packing and Shipping Clerk; he served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1942 until 1947, spending time in the Pacific in locations such as Hawaii and Japan achieving the rank of Sergeant.
John was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his longtime friend and caretaker, Ronald Blevins and his church family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Rev. Daniel Legg and Rev. Daniel Legg and Pastor Justin Seay officiating. Following the services John will be laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Beckley.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service at the funeral home.
