John F. Taylor, 86, of 127 Pennell Street, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 1, 1921, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse Cleveland and Tweedie Wyatt Taylor. He was retired from Milliken and Company with 40 years of service, a member of Drayton Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Tennyson Taylor; two sons, John Edward Eddie Taylor and his wife Connie of Huntsville, AL, and Dennis Dale Taylor and his wife Lovera of Inman; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, J. D., David (Jim), and Paul Taylor; a sister, Maurice Roberson; and his step-mother, Ruth Taylor.

Visitation will be 2-2:45 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Barry Snead and Mr. Donald Hughes. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
