John W. (Jack) Coe

John W. (Jack) Coe, 87, Greenville, SC resident died Wednesday November 30, 2011 peacefully at St. Francis Eastside Hospital.

Born Oct. 2, 1924 in Highland Park, Michigan, he moved to the Grosse Pointe, MI area at a young age. He graduated from the University of Michigan after service as a U.S. Naval Officer. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. A career retail executive, Mr. Coe retired as a Vice President of the J.L. Hudson Company.

Mr. Coe and his wife of 57 years, Sally moved to Haywood Estates here in Greenville from Michigan in 2008. In addition to his wife, Sally, Mr. Coe is survived by his sons John C. (Jana) Coe of Kensington, MD and Daniel W. (June) Coe of Greenville and 3 grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at Haywood Estates on December 23.
