Mr. John W. Edgar, Jr., age 66, of McDonough, GA passed away September 19, 2011. John was born in Gadsden, AL the son of the late Mabel Parker Edgar and John William Edgar SR. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Edgar and a brother, Doug LaCroy. John graduated from Piedmont High School and the University of Alabama. He was a faithful member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and enjoyed being in the Hand Bell choir. He was an avid Alabama Fan, he enjoyed gardening, humming birds, hunting, fishing, snow skiing and traveling. Survivors are his wife, Angela Adams Edgar of McDonough; children, John Edgar III (Dina) of Duluth, Laura Cannistra (Peter) of Seattle, and Adam Edgar (Jessica) of Ray City; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral service for John will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 – 3:00 PM at Timberridge Presbyterian Church with Rev. Matt Allison officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
