Mr. Johnie Clyde McCullars, age 63, of McDonough, GA passed away January 9, 2012. Johnie was born in Dexter, GA. He served his Country in the US Air Force from 1966-1970. He was a Senior Technical Support Engineer for Thermo Fisher for 20 plus years. Johnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, gardening, wood working and doing for others. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Clyde McCullars. Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Ann McCullars of McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Mel Tipton of Marietta; granddaughter, Alissa Tipton of Marietta; mother, Iris McCullars of Morrow; brother, Don McCullars of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Johnie will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shepherd Spinal Clinic, 2020 Peachtree Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309 in memory of Johnie McCullars.
