Johnnie Williams 82, of Palatka, Florida entered the sunset of his life on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Bunnell, Florida. Johnnie began the sunrise of his life on Monday, October 11, 1926 in Macon, Georgia to the late Joe Henry and Emma (Perkins) Williams. He married the love of his life the late Beulah J. (Thenson) Williams on March 15, 1950. Mr. Williams proudly served his country faithfully and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, American Legion, V.F.W., and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: John H. Williams, Joe Hoover, "Jay" Williams, Moses "Bo" Williams, Bertha Lee Baker, Clara "Sis" Benjamin, and Marie Dean. Johnnie is survived by his loving children: sons, John Williams and wife Shirley of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jerry Williams and wife Ama of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Julius Williams and wife Charlene of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Janson Williams and Jarvis Williams both of Palatka, Florida; daughters, Joyce Williams of Orlando, Florida, Janice Ethridge of St. Augustine, Florida, Jacqueline Williams of Palatka, Florida, and June Eubanks and husband Perman, Jr., of Palm Coast, Florida; brothers, Felton Williams and wife Lila, of Palatka, Florida, Joseph Williams and wife Nellie Mae, and Willie Williams and wife Barbara all of Rockledge, Florida; sister in law, Bernell Williams of Orange Mills, Florida. fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; A host of nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be 6-7 PM Friday, February 13, 2009 at Watts Funeral Home Chapel in San Mateo, Florida. A Tribute to Johnnie's life will be Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 1 PM at Mt. Tabor 1st Baptist Church in Palatka, Florida with Pastor Faye Davis presiding. Interment will be in Oakhill Cemetery West next to his loving wife where they will be together forever.
